Before starting my postdoctoral training under the supervision of Drs. Mark Brandon and Sylvain Williams, I obtained my PhD, under the direction of Emmanuel Valjent and Jeanne Ster, at the Université de Montpellier. The aim of my thesis was to study how the dopamine D2 receptor affect the hippocampal micro-circuitry via its action on GABAergic neurons. My current project in this laboratory involves understanding the role of reward value in modulating hippocampal function and how this information is encoded in the network.
